Doing it ’cause you love it

The animation gig I got a few weeks ago has grown a bit. The director sent me an email asking if I could do the rest of the voices: an old lady and a guy in a mascot outfit. I told him I’d do them at no extra charge.

Why? Because they looked like a lot of fun and allowed me to stretch as an actor. They totalled only a few lines and since I was in the studio doing an audition anyway, I might as well hammer them out.

So I did it, had fun with it and I have no regrets.

I don’t always need to get paid extra to do something I love.
